Will the colours of my bouquet change in any way once pressed?

Please note that some flowers do not press well and change colour when the moisture is removed.  Examples are;

  • Red roses may become darker in colour.
  • White roses may go cream.
  • Lilies on occasions may go brown.
  • Calla lilies always go brown or change colour completely.
  • Orchids on occasions may go black.
  • Pale roses may go cream.
  • Pink flowers may go lilac or brown.
  • Yellow or gold flowers can go brown.
  • Gerberas will not press well and are most likely to lose their colour.

At Flower Press UK we endeavour to maintain the colour of your flowers by pressing as many petals and foliage as possible.  Using our special pressing methods, we can obtain the best quality result. It would be unprofessional for us not to make you aware of this possibility.

As a product of nature and as each flower is different in quality, we cannot accept responsibility for colour changes to any flowers and foliage that we press.

We must stress that colour change of this type is the exception, rather than the rule.
